New Delhi: Be it Shahid Kapoor – Kareena Kapoor Khan reunion or the intense topic of substance abuse, Abhishek Chaubey's upcoming film 'Udta Punjab' is making headlines lately. And now, according to a report Shahid Kapoor's character in the movie could be loosely based on Yo Yo Honey Singh.
"The whole cult of the wild raunchy Punjabi rock star was spearheaded by Yo Yo Honey Singh. Toh kahin na kahin usski chabbi to aani hi hai. I’d say Shahid plays a much wilder and far more aggressive version of Yo Yo,” a source told DNA.
The 35-year-old actor plays the role of a drug-addict musician in 'Udta Punjab'.
Few weeks back, Honey Singh also confessed that he was bipolar and an alcoholic.
However, the makers of the movie have denied any similarity between the two.
