Mumbai: It is apparently easier for actors these days to bridge the gap between TV and the silver screen. A number of artistes who began their acting career on the small screen have taken a big leap to makes a splash on celluloid. And now, one of Indian TV’s most loved faces – Ankita Lokhande – is planning to join Bollywood.
According to a report in Bollywoodlife.com, Anky is in talks with ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a role in his upcoming project – Padmavati – which is reportedly star Deepika Padukone in the lead role and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji.
Ankita had played the lead role in Zee TV’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’. She was in a relationship with her co-star Sushan Singh Rajput who is now producers’ hot favourite in Bollywood.
It seems that post her break-up with the ‘Kai Po Che!’ star, Anky wants to focus on her career with more zest.
