Washington: The team of ' The Theory of Everything' including writer-producer, Anthony McCarten , producer Lisa Bruce have teamed up with Working Title partners Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan to make Winston Churchill biopic, it has been revealed.
Working Title acquired McCarten's spec script that focuses on Winston Churchill and a make-or-break moment of truth he faced in 1940, Deadline.com reported.
The epic WWII drama Darkest Hour is set for a 2016 production start. The formalization of this film comes on the 50th anniversary of the passing of Churchill.
This WWII flashpoint has been a long fascination for McCarten, who turns to this passion project after spending a decade getting Jane and Stephen Hawking to trust his vision to turn their complicated marriage into a film.
