New Delhi: Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam launched the music of upcoming drama "Ishq Ke Parindey" in presence of the film's stars Rishi Verma, Priyanka Mehta and director Shakir Khan here last night.

The movie portrays Indo-Pak conflict against the backdrop of a powerful love story.

Nigam, 41, took to the stage to belt out a song "Ek Hatheli" from the film along with Keka Ghoshal.

"I don't have much knowledge about the movie but I have been told that this film is a very clean movie, which you can watch with your family. I wish everyone all the best and I hope that people will love the film if it is publicised properly," Nigam said after the music's launch.

The film's music album has six songs and one Qawwali- "Maula Karde Karam" sung by Javed Ali, Altamash Faridi, Aftab and Hashim Sabri. KK has also lent his voice for a song in the movie.

Singer Palak Muchhal of "Chahu Main Ya Naa" fame also performed during the event.

"Ishq Ke Parindey" is set to hit theatres on April 24. Both Rishi and Priyanka are making their Bollywood debut with the movie.

"I used to be very reserved and serious. While working on the film I opened up a lot. And I can only thank my wonderful team for it," said Rishi, who has earlier done theatre in college.

Priyanka, who will be seen in the role of Pakistani girl, said she had to undergo a complete personality change for the film.

"I am a tom boy. But in this film I am only wearing salwar suits and clad in burkha. So it was very different from what I am in real life. Even the dialect was Urdu so that was another challenge. Our director had to work very hard on me," the debutante said.
