Next Green Lantern will be black?

Warner Bros is reportedly looking for a black Green Lantern for the upcoming film reboot "Green Lantern (2020)", according to the latest episode of Meet the Movie Press.

Los Angeles: Warner Bros is reportedly looking for a black Green Lantern for the upcoming film reboot "Green Lantern (2020)", according to the latest episode of Meet the Movie Press.

The black Green Lantern in talks is John Stewart, who appears in the animated "Justice League" and "Justice League Unlimited" series, reported Ace Showbiz.

In the comics, John Stewart debuted in the early 1970s as the backup Green Lantern for Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner. He is an architect and ex-Marine who has a much more rigid personality and worldview than the cocksure and, at times, arrogant Hal Jordan.

Ryan Reynolds previously played Hal Jordan in the 2011 movie "Green Lantern". It's still unknown who will play the new Green Lantern.

Last month, it was rumoured that Chris Pine was considered to play the Green Lantern. Umberto "El Mayimbe" Gonzalez of Latino-Review ignited the rumour after he posted on Instagram that Chris might be considered for the role for Warner Bros's upcoming movies "Justice League Part One", "Justice League Part Two" and "Green Lantern (2020).
