Los Angeles: 'Doctor Who' actor Matt Smith is reportedly set to star in 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies', adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith novel of the same name.
The project will begin filming on September 24 with a cast that includes Lily James, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Bella Heathcote and Douglas Booth, reportedly.
'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' is a 2009 parody novel. It is a mash-up combining Jane Austen's classic 1813 novel 'Pride and Prejudice' with elements of modern zombie fiction, crediting Austen as co-author.
Smith, 31, plays Mr Collins, a parson who is on the lookout for a wife and proposes to Bennett played by James, who feels that she should help defend the countryside against the onslaught of a horrifying zombie plague. Burr Steers will helm the movie.
