Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit Nene and veteran actor Anupam Kher celebrated working in 1990 film "Dil" as the blockbuster clocked 25 years.

Mumbai: Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit Nene and veteran actor Anupam Kher celebrated working in 1990 film "Dil" as the blockbuster clocked 25 years.

Madhuri, 48, who got her first Filmfare Best Actress Award for her role as a college-going girl, took to twitter to share her excitement.

"Hum pyaar karne waale... Can't believe it's #25yearsofDil. Feels like yesterday! Loved working on this movie!" Madhuri, who became a superstar after the film, wrote. The "Dedh Ishqiya" star also thanked her co-star Aamir Khan and director Indra Kumar.

"Got me my first Filmfare award... Thanks to @aamir_khan , Indra Kumar and Baba Aazmi & Ashok Thakeria."

Kher, who essayed the role of Aamir Khan's father, said the film is close to his heart. "'Dil' will always remain one of my favourote films. I loved doing the role of Hazari Prasad," he tweeted.

Released on June 22, 1990, the romantic drama was one of the biggest musical blockbusters of that era.

"Dil" was remade in Telugu in 1993 under the title "Tholi Muddhu", starring Divya Bharti and Prashanth in the leading roles.
