'London Has Fallen' loses director

Los Angeles: Director Fredrik Bond has dropped out of 'London Has Fallen'.

The 'Charlie Countryman' filmmaker has exited the 'Olympus Has Fallen' sequel over creative differences six weeks before shooting begins, reportedly.

Aaron Eckhart, Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman will return for the follow-up to the 2013 action hit. Angela Bassett and Melissa Leo will also feature in the film.

'London Has Fallen' sees the US president (Eckhart), secret service agent (Butler) and speaker of the US House of Representatives (Freeman) attending the funeral of a British prime minister after his mysterious death.

The funeral becomes central to a plot to kill the world's most high-profile leaders.

Filming is planned in two segments, with the first beginning in October and continuing after a pause in February with Butler, who is currently shooting 'Geostorm'. Bond's exit is said to be amicable. 'London Has Fallen' will released on October 2015.
