New Delhi: If rumours are to be believed 'Youngistaan', starring Jackky Bhagnani and Neha Sharma has been sent to Oscars as an independent entry from India for the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category. 

According to a leading daily, the political drama ' Youngistaan' is Bollywood's latest movie to join the Oscar race as an independent entry. 

The Twitter world went abuzz after the news spread on the social media site, and many went on to put jokes about the news.

The movie which is a remake of Telegu movie ' Leader'  received average to negative reviews from the critics and was not received well by the audience as well. 

The film which has been produced by Vashu Bhagnani and directed by debutant Syed Ahmad Afzal, also starred late actor Farooq Sheikh in a pivotal role. 

While 'Youngistaan' is an independent entry to the coveted awards, India's official entry is ' Liar's Dice'  written and directed by Geetu Mohandas which stars Geetanjali Thapa and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.
