New Delhi: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period drama 'Padmavati' has a fresh pairing of Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. While Dippy darling will essay the beautiful Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor will be playing her on-screen husband Rana Rawal Ratan Singh.
Deepika was longing to work with Sasha and shared her excitement on the same.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, on being asked about how did she feel working wth Shahid, Deepika said, ''I am glad that both (Ranveer & Shahid) of them agreed to be a part of this film. It’s going to be an intense and exciting journey."
"Yes, we were offered a lot of films together. In fact, whenever we would get clicked together at award functions, our fans would put those pictures together and make posters. Shahid and I would also talk about wanting to work with each other. I’m sure there is a reason why it didn’t happen for so many years, and why it’s finally happening now. I’m happy that he agreed to be a part of such an important film in such a generous way. And who better than Sanjay Leela Bhansali to bring us together?", she said.
