DC entertainment set to launch superhero universe for girls, from toys to TV

 DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. and Mattel announced to unveil a whole new line of products and media for girls featuring familiar superheroes and supervillains as "relatable teens."

Washington: DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. and Mattel announced to unveil a whole new line of products and media for girls featuring familiar superheroes and supervillains as "relatable teens."

The characters involved include Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, among others, the CNN reported.

DC Super Hero Girls would be aimed at girls ages 6-12 and would include online content, toys, books and TV specials.

Mattel is the toy licensee and Random House Books for Young Readers will publish books based on the franchise.
