Los Angeles: Actress Allison Janney has been cast in director Tim Burton's fantasy film 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children'.
'Ender's Game' actor Asa Butterfield will star as 16-year-old Jacob Portman, who discovers a school for supernaturally gifted children run by the eccentric Miss Peregrine (Eva Green), reported Variety.
Janney, 55, is joining the cast of the adaptation of writer Ransom Riggs's novel 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' as Jacob Portman's psychiatrist Dr Golan.
The actress is a six-time Primetime Emmy Award winner, whose feature film credits include 'Primary Colours', 'American Beauty', 'Juno' and 'The Help'.
Samuel L Jackson will also have a supporting role as a character known as the Wight.
'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children', which is being adapted for the screen by 'Kingsman: The Secret Service's Jane Goldman', opens on March 4, 2016 in the UK and the US.
