Mumbai: The Indian telly world is abuzz over the reasons behind Sunil Grover’s exit from super-hit comedy show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’.
Actor-producer Kapil Sharma had tried to put speculation to rest and cleared the air by tweeting about his equation with Grover, who essayed the character of Guthi, a naive belle. Sharma had even expressed that he is ever ready to welcome Grover back to the CNWK family but believed that his departure from the show was premature.
Grover might have had his own reasons to quit the show, especially when he was rising to stardom, but the actor believes that he is what he is today because of ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’.
However, the actor says that a true artist`s prime job is to entertain audiences.
And hence he took to Twitter to write, “I`m an entertainer. This stage or that stage, this character or that. My goal is to entertain even if mediums change. Indebted to CNWK 4eva! (sic).”
Grover as Guthi along with Dadi (Ali Asgar) and Palak (Kiku) added magic to the show, which happens to be Kapil’s debut show as a producer.
