Los Angeles: ABC is rounding off its 2015-16 season with the announcement of several cancellations including "Cristela" and "Resurrection".

The network has also decided not to renew Ioan Gruffudd's "Forever" for a second season, while "The Taste" has been axed, reported Variety.

Writing on Twitter, Gruffudd's wife Alice Evans admitted that he is "a little shaken" by the news, adding: "It's brutal, but that's show business." The actor played Henry Morgan, an immortal New York City medical examiner in the series. Alana de la Garza, Joel David Moore, Donnie Keshawarz, Lorraine Toussaint and Judd Hirsch were also among the cast.

ABC's newest comedy "Cristela" is also coming to an end after just one season, and "Resurrection" will not be back for a third season. Culinary competition "The Taste" is being cancelled after two seasons.

Meanwhile, the network has renewed all other series on its current slate, including "Castle", "Grey's Anatomy", "How To Get Away With Murder", "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD", "Nashville", "Once Upon a Time", "Scandal", "American Crime", "Secrets and Lies" and "Marvel's Agent Carter".

Comedies "Black-ish", "Fresh Off the Boat", "The Goldberg", "The Middle", "Modern Family" and "Galavant" will also return, along with unscripted series "The Bachelor", "Dancing With the Stars", "America's Funniest Home Videos", "Shark Tank", "Beyond the Tank" and "20/20".

The only show ABC is yet to decide on is Tim Allen sitcom "Last Man Standing".
