Rachel Weisz to star in `The Bourne Legacy`

London: `The Mummy` star Rachel Weisz has been approached to star opposite Jeremy Renner in `The Bourne Legacy`.

The 40-year-old has entered negotiations for a role in the reboot, which will follow the first three `Bourne` films starring Matt Damon, reported Contactmusic.

The Oscar winning actress is in talks to play a dangerous government hired assassin.

However, the shooting of this Tony Gilroy directed movie is set to begin in September which could lead to a schedule clash for Weisz.

She is also reportedly lined up to start shooting the role of the evil witch Evanora in `Oz: The Great and Powerful` alongside James Franco and Mila Kunis this summer.

The actress who announced her split from `Black Swan` director Darren Aronofsky last year, was last seen in `The Lovely Bones` but has a number of projects coming up.

In addition to the upcoming `The Deep Blue Sea`, Weisz is also working on Fernando Meirelles` `360` alongside Jude Law, Anthony Hopkins and Ben Foster.
