Recipe: Badam Payasam

Slurp this no-onion, no-garlic sweet 'Badam Payasam' made at home. Try out his simple and easy-to-make recipe now!

Ingredients:

30-40 almonds
1-2 cup sugar (as per taste)
Milk-2 litres (as per requirement)
pistachio slivers
Saffron strands
1 teaspoon cardamom powder

Method: 

After peeling off the almonds, grind it into a mixture. Then, put that mixture into milk, and keep the container aside.

Followed by boiling the remaining milk in another container. Add the required amount of sugar and let it boil. 

After that, the milk and mixture which you had kept aside in the start of your preparation can be added to this boiled milk. Keep on stirring it for a while. Add some saffron strands, and let it boil. 

Once you see the colour of the milk turning slight orange, pour into the payasam.

You can also add cardamon powder and pistachio slivers for garneshing. Enjoy your badam payasam!
