Mumbai: Portraying Maratha Peshwa Bajirao in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani’ seems to have been the toughest role Ranveer as essayed so far. The actor has probably taken what it takes to get into the skin of the character.
The impact of the character on Ranveer has been such that the actor confessed to having had a spooky encounter with Bajirao’s ghost while shooting for the film.
In an interview to Deccan Chronicle, Ranveer said, “I used to not believe in ghosts until this incident. I really think I saw Bajirao’s ghost once.”
“It was a very trippy experience and I completely freaked out. I recall it as one of the most difficult days of the shoot. I thought I felt some kind of presence and something told me it’s him,” Ranveer added.
The trailer of the film has given us enough glimpses of Ranveer as Bajirao. The actor seems to have given his all to essay the role of the Maratha warrior.
Slated to release on December 18, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ also stars Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.
