Mumbai: Actor Varun Sharma has directed a travel-themed short film, inspired by the Hollywood star Rowan Atkinson's 2007 comedy movie 'Mr Bean's Holiday'.

The 'Dilwale' actor recently shot for the TV series 'Ice Road Truckers, India's Deadliest Roads'.

During the shoot, when he got the opportunity to travel from Manali to Saichen in a truck, he thought of turning his journey into a "travel diary."

"I am a huge fan of Mr Bean and always wanted to make a short film like he does in 'Mr Bean's Holiday'. So when I got this opportunity I thought why not use this to make my short film as well," Varun said in a statement.

"It is a travel diary and it is very impromptu shoot. I enjoyed shooting it and I hope people also enjoy it," he added.

On the film front, the 26-year-old actor will be next seen in 'Raabta' starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon. He will also be seen in the much-awaited sequel of the comedy film 'Fukrey'.
