New Delhi: Shilpa Shetty, who lost her father a couple of days back has penned an emotional poem in his memory. Shilpa's heart-felt words will definitely leave you teary-eyed. The 41-year-old star recently took to Instagram to share this overwhelming note with the fans along with a photograph of her dad.
Surendra Shetty passed away on Tuesday at around 9 am at his Versova residence. It is being said that he had a cardiac arrest. Surendra was later rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he was declared dead.
His last rites were conducted on Wednesday morning. He is survived by his wife Sunanda and daughters Shilpa and Shamita.
He was seen on the small screen last year when he came on the set of dance reality TV show 'Jhalak Reloaded' with Sunanda and Shilpa to cheer for Shamita, who was participating in the finals.
The poem reads:
Our HERO
Loving and kind in all his ways,
Upright and just to the end of his days;
Sincere and true, in his heart and mind,
Beautiful memories, he left behind
A link in our family chain is broken,
He has gone from our home
But not from our hearts.
We love u Daddy, you have been the best father , husband, friend and soul..
