Renaming Indian assets: Anupam Kher joins bandwagon with Rishi Kapoor!

New Delhi: Bollywood veteran actor Rishi Kapoor made headlines with his viewpoints on naming the important assets of India.

Soon enough, Anupam Kher too joined the bandwagon with Rishi, keeping his thoughts over the same.

In an interview with Times Now, Anupam stated, "I am not surprised. I am happy that he said it. At least somebody as senior as Rishi Kapoor ji thought about it...I am sure a lot of people think lot of things...But puting it on social website needs a lot of courage. It needs not only courage but genuine thought. I think its very important."

While previously, Rishi tweeted about the fact that Congress governance named important assets of the country after the Gandhi family.

Asking the current government to consider renaming the assets, Rishi asked for attention towards the contributors of society.

In support of Kapoor, Anupam further stated, "I think Rishi kapoor's statement should be taken very seriously as a very seasoned actor of our country, who has entertained millions of people all over the world in the last 30-40 years."

Rishi had tweeted: " We must name important assets of the country who have contributed to society. Har cheez Gandhi ke naam? (Why everything in the name of Gandhi?) I don't agree. Sochna log! (Think people!).

"Change Gandhi family assets named by Congress. Bandra/Worli Sea Link to Lata Mangeshkar or JRD Tata Link road. Baap ka maal samajh rakha tha."
Rishi demanded that "Film City should be named Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Ashok Kumar ya Amitabh Bachchan ke naam? Rajeev Gandhi udyog Kya hota hai? Socho doston!"
