New Delhi: Bollywood witnessed the sad and untimely demise of filmmaker Ravi Chopra on Wednesday evening. The entire Hindi film industry was shocked and saddened by the unfortunate turn of events. While many celebrities took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express their grief, there were many to attended the prayer meet held at late filmmaker's residence in Mumbai.
Actress Rani Mukerji along with mother-in-law Pam Chopra and hubby Aditya Chopra were seen paying their condolences to the family. Other Bollywood big names who attended the prayer meet were Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Chunky Pandey and Hema Malini.
Ravi Chopra was the son of veteran filmmaker B R Chopra and nephew of ace director-producer Yash Chopra. Ravi rose to fame with epic television series 'Mahabharat' (1988-1990). The 68-year-old was suffering from lung cancer for quite sometime, and finally breathed his last on November 12, 2014 at Breach Candy hospital, Mumbai.
