New Delhi: A PIL against renowned actor Prakash Raj has been filed in the Madras High Court for appearing in a jewellery advertisement which alleges to demean women.
Objecting to this ad, a teacher sought action against Raj who endorses the jewellery brand.
In the ad, Raj refers to women of marriageable age as 'tensions` , which hasn't gone down well with the petitioner.
The actor clarified his stand on Twitter and said that it was not meant to hurt anybody.

It is aimed at the mindset of people who think girl child is "tension". The ad clearly states it is the rate of gold u gift ..not the girl.
