New Delhi: Preity Zinta recorded her statement after coming back from the US in the Ness Wadia assault case on Tuesday evening. According to an exclusive report of Zee News, four new names appeared in Priety’s statement to the Mumbai Police.

As per reports on Wednesday, all the four names given by the actress are well known names. Now, the new witnesses will be approached by the police for their statements.

One of the names, Jean who is a friend of Zinta, is right now in US. Apparently Jean had attempted to stop Wadia from being physically aggressive with Zinta. Jean raised his both hands to stop Ness and warned him not to touch Priety.

Parents of an Australian cricketer were also present at the venue, at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. They have since returned to Australia.

The police is likely to take the witnesses` statements via e-mail and ask them for their co-operation. The police will also be questioning 6 other witnesses, who are a part of team and stadium staff.

The actress had earlier recorded her statement at BCCI office at the Wankhede stadium premises till 8.20 pm yesterday, naming 14 witnesses. The altercation between the co owners of Kings XI Punjab during an IPL qualifier match, has raised much hue and cry. The incident happened on May 30, 2014.

Zinta had lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police against Wadia accusing him of public humiliation and abusive behaviour during an Indian Premier League match on May 30 at stadium in south Mumbai. However, Wadia has said the allegation was "false and baseless".
