Noida: Model-actress and cousin of a Bollywood actor, Meera Chopra is being pursued by police in connection with the death of a 28-year-old married woman in Gurgaon on Tuesday.
The deceased, Ruchi Bhuttan was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her posh DLF City house. While victim Ruchi’s in-laws claimed it was suicide, her relatives suspected foul play and blamed her husband Sumit Bhuttan.
Apparently, Sumit has an extra marital relationship with Meera Chopra.
While Sumit was booked yesterday, Gurgaon police is in search of model Meera Chopra and have registered a case against her under Section 120B of the IPC.
Ruchi’s relatives claim that she was murdered on account of harassment at the hands of her husband.
As of now, the police is yet to ascertain Meera’s involvement in the murder-suicide mystery.
Investigations are on and it being said that after Meera is arrested she would be taken to court for further inquiry to ascertain her role in the Ruchi’s case.
