Mani Ratnam hospitalised after minor heart attack

Ace director Mani Ratnam was reportedly hospitalised after he suffered a minor cardiac arrest on Tuesday. 

New Delhi: Ace director Mani Ratnam was reportedly hospitalised after he suffered a minor cardiac arrest on Tuesday. 

A leading daily reported that Ratnam, who has recently released his Tamil romantic movie 'OK Kanmani', was admitted to the  Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi.

No further information about the director has been made public yet. The daily reported that the filmmaker's family refused to divulge details about his condition. 

'OK Kanmani' received rave reviews and has grossed Rs 14 crores since its release. He had also suffered an attack about a decade ago during the filming of 'Yuva'. 

Mani Ratnam is one of the most acclaimed directors of this era. He works in mostly Tamil movies, but has made a mark in Bollywood as well with some award winning films like 'Roja', 'Bombay', 'Dil Se', 'Guru', 'Kannathil Muthammil' among others
