Mumbai: Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar was honoured with the prestigious `New York Citizen`s Achievement Award`.
The 44-year-old National-award winning director, who is presently on a vacation in New York, said that he is highly honoured to receive the honour.
"I am hugely honoured and humbled by the Citizen`s Achievement Award given to me by people of NYC. I m truly touched!" he posted on Twitter.
Bhandarkar`s last project was the Kareena Kapoor-starrer ‘Heroine’, which released in September, 2012.
