Liv Tyler to shed adapting nature, define own life

Washington: The ever-so adapting model-and-actress Liv Tyler has admitted that she now wants to put herself first and define what exactly she wants from life.

The daughter of Aerosmith`s Steven Tyler feels ‘grateful’ that her childhood was spent with different relatives because her mother Bebe Buell needed support as she has learned to ‘adapt’ to situations.

“My mum was young and I think she might not have had the emotional tools to know exactly how to take care of me, so she turned to her family for support. I spent two years with my aunt, a year with my mum and two years with my grandparents,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“I feel grateful for those dynamics. I``m good at adapting, so it``s easy for me to suss out a situation and adapt to it. At this point in my life, however, I``m trying to define a bit more of what I want, as opposed to adapting to what other people want,” she added.

Tyler, 33, who split from husband Royston Langdon in 2008 after being together for five years, said she would always put their six-year-old son Milo first.

Speaking to the Sunday Times Style magazine she said: “Since Milo was born, I``ve been going through all kinds of personal things - getting divorced and trying to allow myself the room to heal from that and rebuild my life.”
