Kushal Tandon bats for Gauahar Khan over 'slap' controversy!

New Delhi: The entire showbiz fraternity is in a state of shock, as model-turned-actress Gauahar Khan became a victim of moral policing, while she was shooting for a reality show. The 'Bigg Boss 7' winner in an unfortunate turn of event, was slapped by a 24-year-old man named Akil Malik, while she was on stage, reportedly for wearing short clothes.

After a bevy of stars such as Alia Bhatt, filmmaker Farah Khan and Mudhur Bhandarkar supported Gauahar, her former boyfriend Kushal Tandon too has broken his silence. In an interview with a leading daily, the former 'BB7' contestant was quoted as saying that, security lapse is the primary reason for this 'slap' incident.

Kushal further added that this was an utterly disgusting incident, which took place because there were no bouncers around to protect the anchor (Gauahar). Had the production house arranged for proper security for the cast and crew, none would have dared to do what the attacker did to Gauahar. Kushal also added that, they will not spare the man and legal action would be taken taken against him.

The culprit has been taken into police custody.
