John Lennon’s cowboy hat expected to fetch £8,000 at auction

London: John Lennon’s cowboy hat, which he wore on the band’s US tour in 1965, has been put up for auction and it is expected to fetch 8,000 pounds.

The late Beatles member had given it to his Uncle Charlie, a big fan of western films, along with sunglasses that are thought to go for 4,000 pounds at the sale next week.

Uncle Charlie came by the Italian glasses when he visited the star’s mansion in Weybridge, Surrey, on a sunny day.

The memorabilia belong to American Larry Warren, who lives in Liverpool and who bought them from the late uncle 10 years ago.

“These are wonderful items that belonged to John Lennon when he was at the height of his career,” the Daily Express quoted auctioneer Glen Norcliffe, of Reading, Berks, as saying.
