New Delhi: As the reports about Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan’s divorce hit the headlines, rumours about Arjun Rampal’s proximity with Sussanne was sought as one of the reasons for the star couple’s separation.
According to a leading daily, Rampal, who was saddened by such rumours, asserted that the duo are his close friends and that he is upset with his name being unnecessarily drawn in.
"It is very sad when friends close to you take a decision to separate. These are the hardest times for them and we must be sensitive to towards this decision, rather than creating speculation and rumours. I read in the news as the same time as you all about my involvement in this marriage. It saddens me deeply that rumours become inevitable during celebrities going through such times. Mehr and I wish them only peace and love through these times and support them as friends should and we wish them and their families well always(sic)," Arjun Rampal said in a statement to the daily.
Hrithik Roshan recently issued a formal statement revealing that he and his wife have mutually decided to end their seventeen-year relationship.
