New Delhi: A day after the crash that killed a child and injured four other members of a family, Esha Deol spoke to the press about the accident.
She told ANI, "We will definitely help that family, not as a political figure but as human beings. Heartfelt condolences to the family who lost their child. When you have an accident you have no sense of what is happening."
Hema Malini, former actress, danseuse and BJP MP was also hurt in the accident in Jaipur.
The 66-year-old actress-turned politician underwent a surgery for her wounds at Fortis hospital here and was doing fine, doctors attending to her said. She was also treated for a minor fracture on her nose.
ANI also quoted Esha as saying, "My mother is fine now. She underwent surgery."
Hema Malini's driver has reportedly been arrested by the Rajasthan Police after a case of over-speeding and negligence was registered against him. Driver Mukesh Thakur (35) has been booked under sections 279, 337, 338, 304 A of the Indian Penal Code.
