New Delhi: A day after BJP MP Hema Malini's Mercedes rammed into a Maruti Alto near Dausa area, killing a four-year-old girl, and injuring four others—the accused driver of the vehicle was arrested and later released on bail, reportedly.

According to Hindustan Times, driver Mahesh Thakur had serious charges of culpable homicide and causing death by negligence levelled against him but was later released on bail.

Ramesh Chand Thakur, who was driving Hema's car when it met with an accident in Dausa, 60 km from Jaipur, has been arrested at Kotwali Thana, SHO Dilip Singh told PTI.
