New Delhi: In the Preity Zinta–Ness Wadia case, more controversy has surfaced. Now it is being learnt that the BCCI had dissuaded the actress from filing an FIR against her ex-boyfriend and Kings XI Punjab co-owner, Ness when she went to report it.

According to sources, when police approached one BCCI official over Preity`s allegations, the BCCI official requested her not to take it forward. He said that “this IPL has gone controversy free. Let it be that way.”

Preity had mentioned in her post on a social media site, that “no one stood by me”. In a post on her official Twitter and Facebook page the actress had written, “It saddens me that no one at work or around ever stood up for me in the past when I was abused and insulted publicly.”

This might be the reason behind her lodging the complaint after 12 days of the incident. Sources said that the actress was under pressure. Police is going to question the said BCCI official on this.

Zinta gave a written complaint following which an FIR was registered against Wadia under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).

She has recorded her statement after returning from the US, and key witnesses were named in the statement, including a renowned cricketer`s minor son.
