New Delhi: Readomania's first of its kind composite novel 'Crossed & Knotted' has entered the Limca Book of Records. The uniqueness of the book is its narration which has entwined 14 different literary works into one composite work.
The stories have protagonists where each one is somehow linked with another one from a different work. The book can be read either as 14 independent short stories or one composite novel.
Edited by Sutapa Basu, the names of the authors are: Avanti Sopory, Sutapa Basu, Anupama Jain, Mithun Mukherjee, Arvind Passey (from NCR, New Delhi); Deepti Menon, Bhaswar Mukherjee (Chennai); Ayan Pal (Kolkata); Amar Laksh Pawar (Agra); Monika Nair (Pune); Amrit Sinha (Ranchi); Arpita Banerjee (Bengaluru); Sanchita Sen Das (USA); Bhuvaneshwari Shivakumar Shankar (Saudi Arabia).
“Literature can make people introspect, and that has the magic to change our attitude. To take literature to the masses, innovation is needed to create new styles of storytelling that can engage people,” said Dipankar Mukherjee, founder of Readomania about the achievement.
