Mumbai: Actor Akshay Kumar has got word `Blue` inked on his neck for his upcoming underwater action caper `Blue`.
The actor, who has got his son Aarav`s name tattooed on his back, decided to add to his body art at the advice of director Anthony D`Souza.
"Akshay plays the character of a rich businessman who is obsessed with money and thirsts for more. He does not hesitate
to flaunt his arrogance and status," the director said.
D`Souza`s believes that the tattoo will add extra edge to Akshay`s character, which is called `Aarav` in the movie.
"It was a brilliant idea to have `Blue` tattooed on the back of Akshay`s neck as it has added that extra edge to his character. And it was sheer presence of mind to call Akshay`s character `Aarav` as he had already inked his son`s name on his back," the filmmaker said adding that the significance of `Blue` doesn`t end here.
"Akshay even owns a business called `Blue Shipping & Fisheries`," D`Souza added.
Produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd, the adventure film, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta, promises breathtaking underwater sequences.
