New Delhi: Karan Johar`s ambitious project, `Shuddhi` has indeed become a curious case of casting disorder.
After Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan walked out of the project, there was a strong buzz that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh might be roped in by the filmmaker. But, that too was put to rest, as the duo chose Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s `Bajirao Mastani` over it.
The grapevine had earlier suggested that KJo might want to cast Aamir Khan in the lead. However, the 49-year-old actor has reportedly denied the rumour. According to a leading daily, Aamir at a recent film screening in Mumbai clarified that he was never approached for the film.
Now, if Aamir too is not in the league to play lead in `Shuddhi`, we wonder who exactly is going to fill in the void. Reportedly, the film will be helmed by Karan Malhotra and will be released next year.
