Mumbai: Actor-turned-producer John Abraham says his forthcoming film `Banana` will surprise the audience and make them nostalgic.
`Banana` is a slice-of-life film, which traces the journey from adolescence to teenage.
"We are excited about Sajid Ali being launched as a director from our banner. Just like people did not expect anything from `Vicky Donor`, I guarantee people may not expect anything from `Banana` but I am sure it will bring back lot of memories when you watch it," John said.
The film will mark the debut of Imtiaz Ali`s younger brother Sajid and go on floors in November-December.
John has had a successful run at the box office as a producer with his two films `Vicky Donor` and `Madras Cafe` getting a positive response.
He will next be seen in Anees Bazmee`s `Welcome Back`. The film is a sequel to 2007 hit film `Welcome` and John is the new addition in it.
"We have started shooting for `Welcome Back` and we will finish it in January. My character is completely different in this film and I am looking forward for the audience reaction," John said.
He is also working on the sequel of gay comedy `Dostana`, starring him and Abhishek Bachchan.
"Karan Johar will make the announcement on `Dostana`. I am not the producer there so I will take a step back. Abhishek and I are very excited about the film," John said.
