Technology-wise India at par with world: VFX experts

Mumbai: Keitan Yadav and Haresh Hingorani from Red Chillies Entertainment, who did the VFX for the Hrithik Roshan-starrer `Krrish 3`, feel that though technology-wise India is at par with the world, filmmakers need to come up with more such films.

After creating a path-breaking VFX work in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer `Ra.One`, this post-production studio had their next biggest VFX project- `Krrish 3`.

"Technicians in India are at par with foreign talent even in terms of infrastructure, studio, hardware and software. Technology-wise also we are at par with the world. There is progress happening on this front," Keitan Yadav, Chief Operating Officer and Haresh Hingorani, Chief Creative Officer, VFX, Red Chillies Entertainment said.

"But filmmakers, actors need to come up more with such superhero, sci-fi films like `Ra.One`, `Krrish 3` so we can make more use of technology," they added.

According to them, the special effects in the latest film are all the more commendable as they are done in India by the Indian technicians.

"The technology has evolved so much that we have used many more techniques, new software for `Krrish 3`. But the special effects of `Krrish 3` are compared to Hollywood super-hero films like `Iron Man`, `Superman`, `Spiderman`," Yadav said.
