Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor is talking big money and getting it too. Post the stupendous success of his two films at the Box Office; Ranbir Kapoor is on cloud nine. And considering his commendable performances, the lad sure has earned enough reasons to demand a fat pay cheque.
Just four films old, the actor will now walk away with a whopping Rs 12 crores for his next film with none other than Imtiaz Ali.
A double treat for sure as it’s not only the money but also his favourite director that the actor will be working with.
Talking about Ranbir, a spokesperson from Shree Ashtavinayak said, "It is true that we have signed Ranbir for Imtiaz`s new movie. As a part of the contract we have with the actors we can`t discuss the remuneration publicly anyways."
So what made an actor who made his debut with a sum of Rs 50 lakhs jump to Rs 12 crore in a matter of few years? Well, versatility and the willing to take risks are just a few things that comes to mind.
Talking about Ranbir’s skyrocketing success a source said, "Ranbir is already in the Top Ten bracket. He is outdoing himself with every new film and his fan base is increasing with every passing day. This year, he has had two releases in ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ and both have done good business and have received critical acclaim. Such a feat for a solo-hero film is only expected from the Khans Salman, Aamir, SRK and Akshay Kumar, who have been ruling the roost for a while."
Well, Ranbir sure has cracked his way into the top league.
