New Delhi: The Parsi community celebrates Navroz, the Parsi New Year on Tuesday. People offered prayers at their temple on this auspicious day to welcome the New Year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to wish the Parsis a very happy Navroz.
He tweeted:
Wishing my Parsi brothers & sisters on the start of Parsi New Year. I hope this year is filled with prosperity & happiness. Navroz Mubarak.

President Pranab Mukherjee too extended his greetings and said that Navroz represents new beginnings.
"Greetings and good wishes to all my Parsi brothers and sisters on the joyous occasion of Navroz," he said in his message.
President Mukherjee said the Parsi Community has over the years immensely enriched India and contributed enormously to the nation`s prosperity and welfare."May this festival bring happiness and prosperity to all and inspire us to spread the message of amity and goodwill far and wide," he added.
