Ledger’s Brooklyn bar set to open

Washington, Sept 13: Heath Ledger’s bar, ‘Five Leaves’, in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, is set to open on September 17 – almost 8 months after the actor`s untimely death.

The ‘Brokeback Mountain’ actor’s close ones have contributed in setting up the actor’s dream bar.

"It`s all meant to be a super casual California- and Australia-tinged cafe, coffeehouse and oyster bar, with greenmarket snacks," a critic was quoted as saying.

With steel light fixtures and “wire concoctions that seem right out of a lab,” Five Leaves resembles “a bar that Thomas Edison might have built for his buddies,” according to the review.

The door to the bar`s bathroom is a "massive, ``20s-era boiler room door," the review added.

Heath, who died of a drug overdose at the age of 28, had financially backed the bar when he was alive.
