Mumbai:  A series of videos titled "Kids Speak Out", featuring children aged 7-12, will see the youngsters sharing their viewpoints on issues like religion, caste, gender, education and social status.

The series, by digital video entertainment company Culture Machine's Being Indian in collaboration with filmmaker N. Padmakumar (Paddy), comprises five videos which aim to bring to the forefront the innocent, untainted, apolitical and unbiased opinions of children from different social strata.

"Kids have perceptions that are fresh and uninhibited, and Paddy has been able to beautifully capture these nuances and lend a voice to these stories, told through a generation that is coming of age," Sameer Pitalwalla, CEO and co-founder, Culture Machine, said in a statement.

Padmakumar, founder, The Open Iris, feels the videos can "actually influence change".

The idea of the series was to challenge existing perceptions on social topics.
