Los Angeles: Singer Kesha`s mother says it is only a miracle that her starved daughter is alive.
Pebe Sebert, mother of the `Timber` hitmaker, said Kesha suffered from anorexia and bulimia and therefore sought professional help, reported People magazine.
"(The doctors) told me her blood pressure and sodium were so low they`d never seen that, except with someone who`d had a heart attack or stroke. They said it was a miracle she hadn`t dropped dead on-stage," Sebert said.
Sebert recently checked into Timberline Knolls centre near Chicago for Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) where her 26-year-old daughter was shifted on January 3 following an eating disorder.
Sebert had blamed Kesha`s former manager David Sonnenberg and her producer Lukasz Gottwald for her daughter`s negative attitude towards food.
"I`ve watched my beautiful, self-confident, brilliant daughter be berated and ridiculed for her looks and weight - to the point that she almost died," she had said.
Lukasz has since denied the allegations and insists he will be supportive of the troubled star while she battles the condition.
