'Harry Potter's' Professor Severus Snape is alive, works for American Airlines

Washington: 'Harry Potter's' Professor Severus Snape did not die at the end of the fantasy series, but instead faked his own death and now works as a gate agent at American Airlines.

The company's confirmation on Facebook came after years of web speculation over an AA employee who bears a striking resemblance to the tart-tongued potions master, who was apparently first spotted in 2012, People Magazine reported.

The company stated in its post, accompanying a photo of "Snape" at the gate that he would assist people in the boarding process for Flight "Nine and Three Quarters" from LaGuardia to Hogwarts.

Though "Snape" might now be living among the Muggles, he hasn't completely given up his magical prejudices, reminding passengers that "last and certainly least, Gryffindor and Muggles may board."
