Girl gangs - the latest terror on Brit streets!

London, Sept 18: Underage drinking sessions, rash driving, carrying knives were up till now associated with boys, however, British streets are these days witnessing a drastic rise in the number of girl gangs, suggest figures.

According to data, the rate of criminal offences by girls has upped by one fourth in recent years, reports The Sun.

As part of the investigation for a TV documentary, Tory MP Ann Widdecombe spent a night with wildcats and was shocked to see the girls fighting, drinking, and having scant regard for anyone who gets in their way.

She claimed that the Home Office has already spent millions to keep a check on girl gangs in hotspots. But still, teenage girls have reportedly been involved in 15,000 violent attacks every year.

Such trend among teenage girls has been attributed to their inclination towards the binge-drinking culture.

Out of the 171 known gangs in London, only three are all-female, according to officials. But people on streets can give the real picture.

Usually girls join gangs because of loyalty to friends, fighting for territory or simply the thrill of fighting.
