Bieber summoned to court over alleged assault by bodyguards

London: Pop sensation Justin Bieber has been summoned to court in Argentina over an alleged assault by his bodyguards.

A state prosecutor in Buenos Aires wants to quiz the 20-year-old troubled star about an attack on a photographer by his heavies outside a nightclub in the Argentine capital last November, reported Daily Mirror.

Martin Lopez has formally asked a judge to issue an international arrest warrant so Bieber can be hauled back to the south American country and questioned about whether he encouraged his bodyguards to act the way they did.

News of Bieber's new legal headache comes just days after it emerged he was ordered to pay 50,000 pound in damages to a former neighbour in Calabasas, California, for throwing eggs at his home.

The singer, accused of criminal vandalism over the incident in July, was also told to complete six days of community service and attend 12 anger management classes.

Bieber left Argentina in disgrace late last year after the violent incident involving local photographer Diego Pesoa.
