Twist in missing HRD official death case: It's not Jha's body, claims family

NEW DELHI: A new twist has emerged in the death of missing HRD official Jeetendra Kumar Jha. The victim's family asserted that it was not Jha's body and demanded a postmortem.

Jha, an Indian Civil Accounts Service officer, had gone missing after he went out for a morning walk in Dwarka on Monday. The police on December 12 found a dead body on the railway tracks in Palam with a Jha's wallet and a suicide note.

According to reports, the body was cut up into small pieces. The post-mortem will be conducted on Friday.

Jha, 1998 Indian Civil Accounts Service batch passout, was posted in the Ministry of Human Resource and Development. He was currently undergoing training at Indian Institute of Public Administration.

Jha's family claimed that he was reportedly upset with work for sometime. He would be transferred within the department in every five-six months.

A purported suicide note, in which he said that no one was responsible for his death, was found from his pocket, they added.
