Delhi assembly's Monsoon Session to begin on Tuesday

The AAP government had increased minimum wages for unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled workers by 37 per cent in March.

New Delhi: Delhi assembly`s four-day Monsoon Session will begin on Tuesday, official sources said on Sunday.

The Aam Aadmi Party government will re-introduce The Minimum Wages (Delhi) Amendment Bill, 2015; The Delhi (Right of Citizens to Time-bound Delivery of Services) Amendment Bill, 2015; and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology Amendment Bill, during the session 

The Delhi assembly had passed and sent 14 bills, including these three, to the Union government for approval but most were returned with objections.

The state government had earlier requested the Central government to clear The Minimum Wages (Delhi) Amendment Bill, 2015, at the earliest so that effective implementation of the increased minimum wages could be done in the national capital. But the bill was returned.
