NEW DELHI: As light rains lashed several parts of the national capital and its neighbourhood regions on Tuesday night, fog played havoc with train and flight services. Several train services were affected due to the fog that engulfed Delhi on Wednesday morning. Nearly 18 were cancelled while 25 trains arrived late as visibility dropped. Three train services were rescheduled.

The temperature was down by eight degrees, making it a cold day for Delhiites. The maximum recorded temperature was 17 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average while the minimum temperature was 9.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
The India Meteorological Department predicted overcast skies along with the possibility of dense fog in the morning tomorrow.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 20 and 6 degrees Celsius," said the Met department.
Meanwhile, parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand received a fresh bout of snow on Wednesday.
According to agriculture experts, light rain is considered good for Rabi crops at this stage.
The weatherman predicted snowfall or rain in the Kashmir Valley which is reeling under frigid conditions.
