New Delhi: Well, this could end up being one of the 'cleverest' cricket shots ever. During Australia-Sri Lanka third Twenty20 International match on Wednesday, unheralded Ben Dunk played an audicious shot to the amazement of everyone.
It happened off the the second ball of the 14th over, bowled by Dasun Shanaka. Dunk shuffled across towards the off-stump trying to play a scoop shot. But at the last moment, he dropped the plan and instead wait for a cheeky, perfectly improvised push towards third man. And that was it, for a four. A class act from the 29-year-old.
He scored a quick-fire 28 off 21 balls to help Australia post 187. They won the match by 41 runs after Lankans ran away with series trophy after their wins in the first and second match. Here's the video:

Regarded as one of the cleanest strikers around, the Big Bash League star was hoping to get a deal in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).
